stock CA shouldn't equal bad axle tramp if suspension is in good condition

i had a twin turbo a-series in a ute and never got axle tramp

i now have a stock CA18DET coupe with no axle tramp

I always make sure i have decent shocks in my cars though

on a seperate note;
i found the ute rear springs way too stiff, remove the smallest leaf or change the entire spring pack for coupe ones (that's what i did). Makes the rear a little softer and will give better grip and handeling

Load leaf! Is a big problem!
As 1200rc said there's a good range of rear shocks to choose from, and replace rear bushes, new shocks, remove load leaf, and if u got lowering blocks take them out to!!!

while i agree that the load leaf does terrible things to handling, i cant say that i beleive you'll be able to eliminate tramp
by removing leaves of any kind. Generally a half leaf is added on top (front half) of the pack to help eliminate spring 'wind-up'

a 2 link will eliminate all wind-up and yes good shocks are a must.

i have noticed that even when you eliminate spring 'wind-up' the ute's can still tend to 'bounce' slightly on the
tyres when starting to break traction, which feels a little like tramp but no where near as severe

yeah, removing leaf was a separate note... not a suggestion for removing lady and the tramp

he will want to do that when he has his new shocks.... and no more tramp
