My stupid question for the day.

Can anyone shed some light on installing door glass on a 1200 sedan, I'm busy rebuilding my doors with all new rubber, once the rubbers is in place, i can;t figure out how to get the glass in place.

I just replaced the door glass in my ute this weekend. I would think the process would be the same for the front doors of the sedan. in order to do it you have to take apart the door bits and pieces. you have to take the door pull door handle and window handle all off. Then pull the door card off to.access the inside of the door. Roll the window up first though. Then unbolt the window stop at the bottom of the door. Roll the window down so that the regulator comes out of the track on the window glass frame but be careful not to let the window drop too hard. Leave the glass at the bottom of the door temporarily. Next you need to take the quarter window frame out. There are three screws at the top of the door concealed under the door rubber. Also there is one larger screw towards the bottom of the door. It's recessed a bit. Once loose take the quarter window assembly out. Then you need to reach in the door and turn the window 90 degrees then pull of out from the top. Put the new qwindow in the same way you took it out. Then do everything in reverse. However don't tighten the screws on the quarter window assembly until you get the new window to align with the slots on each side. That is the hardest part. Hope this helps.

oh and by the door handle I mean just the door handle shroud, not the whole door handle assembly
