A great choice. I don't recall that ever being fitted to a driver 1200 bit only to drag cars.

My 1200 coupe sports sedan that is under construction
is getting a F20C power plant, six speed gear box and a IRS
rear with R200 centre.

Should be a bit of fun once finished

12A too big for engineering. Go with the 10A.

I toyed with the idea of putting B2345T3 out of a '98' Volvo V70 T5 but figured a Bridgeport 12A would be alot simpler, lighter and louder. And easier to register too.

Love the electric hub motors used by e-mini, 4 each wheel for 4wd.
Id be happy with 2 x 8 inch in parallel and serial like white zombie
sitting in the gearbox tunnel with small prop shaft to the diff.

If you go a bit bigger on the motor you can probably delete the gearbox and have direct drive. It might compare favourably in terms of weight.

One way to look at it is to pick an electric motor with the same stall torque as the A12 multiplied by 1st gear ratio, i.e. about 350Nm. The advantage is that you'll have this torque all the way up to design speed. Or you can choose something in between an have second gear torque the whole way. A project I wish I had time for Maybe in retirement...

I eventually plan to use a 7inch 7800 rpm 80 hp electric using a lithium battery pack mated up to my L series dogleg 5 speed, the reason only a small electric and not a quarter mile eating electric missile is because I plan for to be functional, slightly more powerful than the existing, and with a fair amount of range,

But for the time being I'ld be happy running an a12, modded internally to race spec \with quad bike carbs, hopefully a SPRINTEX S5-150 supercharger and a solenoid controlled exhaust system but still looking granny spec (ish) with an orig interior and outside, although the simmons may give it away a bit.
