It's to protect the driver of the Japanese car from the burning American made car next to it... One would assume.

JDM B110s and B210s did not have any amber lenses, just like USA -- yellow were against regulations.

EDIT: USA 1200s do have an orange side lamp, not no amber on the front or rear. JDM lamps have an extra very small bulb that doesn't exist in USA or AUS models. See Lighting System

Yeh i have parkers that all all amber (no Parker)
Jap ones don't have a Parker like aus?
Obviously JDM means stock there and it has been abused and lost it's meaning.
Yet your not going to sit with a simpleton and explain to them what shakotan/boso style is.
It's easier to just say yeh make the car is Jap/JDM.
Lot of things they have in evey car model that we never receive :/

Window rain shields were not factory or dealer equipment in Japan. Is that what a monsoon shield is???

USDM 1200s were the most unique as they had to comply with unique USA safety regs (e.g. larger side reflectors and fire-resistant interior materials.).

You can't make an Aussie-spec or US-spec into a JDM, you can only make it JDM-like.

The orginal brochures give a good idea of what JDM was like:

well i think the jdm 1600's came out with amber parkers not the parker/indicator like adm and 1200's had the same deal pretty sure, the jdm b10 also came out with clear parkers not the parker/indicator like the adm.

only other differences i can think of are the ones you pointed out in your first post not sure if interior accessories might have slight differences
