that was quad-turbo... only a joke... but two turbos were mounted (in that picture) and used... there is plenty of pics, i will be digging them up and bringing all to this thread

simon- it was/is running delco computer and sensors from a camira, programable with the right equipment, i think the new evolution will involve proper aftermarket ecu though

the early days shots...

this was the very first setup... a lot of this was made by another guy clint who used to be a member, there was quite a few issues with this but mainly the exhaust manifold cracked very quickly and the throttle into the boxed carby constantly jammed

if the exhaust manifold was steam pipe and the throttle problem was solved.. this actually was a pretty cool setup - and using the stock carby!

after many gasket failures and fuel streaming out of the carby over hot turbos... it was decided there was only one solution

which is when the ute first came on the scene - used the insurance money to buy unfamilia's old ute, and quickly dumped the turbo motor in

ok so that exhausts the pics that were on datsun1200.com anyway..

my mind is starting to churn

im tempted by straight gas for the ease of the throttle body
and i also have a EFI hardware quad throttle body setup im not using....

I remember seeing the ute, minus interior and driveline sitting out front of your parents place a while back. Looking back it makes perfect sence that Mik was the previous owner.

So what now? What sort of boost was it running and how fast and far did it work through the range?
