our autocross car now has a welded diff and its a bit unpredictable in the corners, ill leave the diff open on the datto until im ready to get a LSD or phantom grip. As for the steering box I will rebuild it and get a new draglink, thanks for all your help

is it an lsd of some sort ,and i hear 250 dollars cash money ,that sounds like my kinda lsd !!

hasnt a trd lsd centre from an ae86 been used before ?

Phantom Grip is an inexpensive LSD that uses a spring-loaded plate instead of the usual clutch-pack.

Isn't the downside of Phantom Grip that it pushes against the diff gears? Sounds pretty agricultural to me. One of those Torsen centres by topgear would be the go, have to do a lot more overtime before I can buy one though.

i put up my christmas tree and that pushes on the floor.... what's your point?

phantom grip is awesome for dirt and wet epecially and you don have to do oertime to afford oe, the only downside is they arnt geat with big power on grippy surfaces,

Don't most LSD types push against the side gears?

Lockers are different, but you don't want a locker for most types of driving.

I may not have read carefully enough how they work so more of a question. Do the two metal plates use the gears as a friction surface? Additional load on gear surfaces and bearings? Probably getting off topic.

H190 are cheap and available so seems worthwhile
