yeah it sure does look nice... i am super keen to get one...

Some guy came to buy my wheels and we were talking about these he said something about corrosion because of what the have used to make the radiator doesn't respond well with the a series block.. Could be bullshit but I dunno just what I've heard because I was going to get one off eBay

Cooling system corrosion does occur if you use plain water in the engine.

Use a proper coolant with anti-corrosion properties and you'll have no problems.

Nah the alloy and aluminum ones do corrode if not isolated from body and also if there is any electrical chagre /current in coolant. They are a sacrificial diode or whatever you call them. They get lots of pin hole leaks if cheap alloy grade( unfortunately most are) and are known to last 12-18 months. Heaps on net especially Silvia and skyline forums bout it.

sacrificial anode is what it is called and are found on boats or boat motors (hi in zinc so that corrosion attacks this instead of other components) . i can't see them coroding any faster than any other alaminium componant on your car concidering an anode can take a number of years to corrode in salt water and an ally radiator would have now where as much zinc as an anode.

i can't see insolating the radiator a possibility as water is quite a good conductor.

i would buy one in a hart beat

is there any advantage in running one of these? and what the price diffrance between getting a std radiator reco'd and aluminium radiator?

apparently 30% better cooling over copper.

i had a 1600 record to a 3 core for $300, so i would say they are worth the money.
