Hi I've been trying to sort out what to run in my car, I want to do a bit of track work and autocross/kana, I'm looking at 225pound springs but I'm looking for peoples input into what people have found best!
I'm going to be running stanza struts in a L series 1200 sedan so looking for something that will hold the little more weight or the L series, and still offer good track ride and feel in the road!
Ta for any input Nick

My autocross sedan works very well. It is setup with B310 struts shortened to take Z inserts (KYB GR2) and have Ground Control coilover kits with 250# springs.

I'm still running an A-12 motor and the 250#'s are great.

Front alignment is -2.5 deg camber, 7.1 degrees castor.

I'm thinking that with the extra weight of the L series motor you will want 250# springs minimum, maybe 275's.

Ive got 280lb/5kg front spring and I think theyre too soft
Gunna get some new variable rate springs when ive got mine setup properly.
I would recommend at least 6kg but i like stiff cars.
Hence why my mate just got 18/14kg springs for his aristo n 16/14kg for his supra.

Keep in mind that an Toyoda Aristo is twice the weight of a 1200, and a Supra about 50% heavier than a 1200, so their spring rates do not mean much. Also because the way some springs are leverage by the suspension they are not always directly comparable. Even some Datsuns can take 500 lb springs. Doesn't mean it will work well on a Datsun 1200. Well unless you are running on a smooth superspeedway...
