Yes, it could be the coil
Yes, it could be the crane igntion

Agreed, the easiest way to test it to substitue a stock coil & distributor.

Check the float bowls and floats. On the webers this has been problem on my 1200. The fuel pressure will still read 3 psi, your pick-up is before the carbs. The next thing is check your coil. we went with the HPX system and it works great. also check your grounds, you may have one that is bad.

Hope this helps
John

yea i check the fuel float levels ,it stopped and i killed the fuel pump straight away ,then i pulled the carbs apart and the bowls werent empty ,and i checked the floats hadnt bent or anything

and i bought a new mec717 bosch coil today and warmed it up ,then it started trying to stall then when ide give it some throttle it would blow flames out the exhaust ,so i think the crane fireball has #OOPS# itself or the pick up in the dizzy is getting hot ,even though its optical trigger so heat shouldnt affect the signal
