haven't raced in a while but have added a custom rear swaybar to control rear body roll.
16mm bar with approx. 150mm of adjustment.

dude been following your project and watched the vid's --great speed on the straight and looks like it sits in a corner [no tail movement]well that's unless you should go faster into the corner lol -- nah joking it's difficult to judge this on vid but s/thing i did notice was what sounds like a slipping clutch -- well either that or you got a lazy foot--- not removing it from the pedal -- anyway nice racing and keep going --- you never know maybe s/body from the Aussie v8's is watching and get a nissan v8 drive.just remember to keep posting on the 1200 forum

nismo1,
If the sound you are hearing is mid corner or corner exit, then it is the diff opening and spinning the inside rear wheel.
It's actually been a little handy whilst learning to drive, avoids significant oversteer :)
The standard hilux LSDs don't work very well on the track with high torque and this is the next upgrade for me (Either ramped LSD or Spool).
The data logs do not show a slipping clutch. this would be seen with rear wheel speed v engine rpm.
Each time i finish a race weekend I lower my PB, I guess I haven't reached the limit of the car yet which is good.

mcgee thanks for that -- see what happens when you assume -- anyway your car runs great. In RSA the chaps use the alfa romeo [lsd] or the m75 diff from toyota if i'm correct.I have the alfa diff and they are great-- very light maybe even lighter than the 1200.I wish i was in the same position as you but constant jobs around the house keep me busy eg. carport, awnings, lowering washing line etc Thats the closest i get to lowering anything lol.My 1200 is 70% done but just can't get it done and then i started making changes to the missus' Suzuki swift sport, made lip for the front, gonna plasti dip the rims black and some black w/nuts --to get away from the all white look.Ay i'm getting carried away this is about your car -- thanks for the info -- once again car picks up speed nicely just those corners i dont like.cheers all the best

Hey Mate,
Just found your post and enjoyed your build and race journey so far. Well done. Wondered where you sourced the rear sway bar kit?
Cheers.

hespie,
K-mac do a "bolt-on" kit...... It didn't end up being bolt on for me.
Build quality was average (enough problems to return it). Having dropped the coin with them already I was kind of stuck, so went with a custom design bar (my design) using their droplink hardware, which I swapped most of it out anyway.
In hindsight I would have taken a different path and not used k-mac.

I missed those videos until now. Goes like stink! Looks like it handles nice and nuetral too. Front row start in one race as well - good stuff! I know that little red Starlet you're dicing with from the Nationals up here - it's a damn fast car, so you've obviously got it going very well. Good stuff!

That LSD must be annoying! You try to start powering on out of the turns and it just single pegs. Cost positions sometimes too. I'd be cursing it! lol
