What are you thinking of running? the Bluebird?
We are having our yearly audit of all the IP cars on the 2 Mar from 5pm at Big Rock Toyota (Come around the back where the workshop entrance is). Great opportunity to see all the cars and meet some of the drivers.

No more track time yet, but on the good side car goes in for a tune on Monday.
Waited for over 4 months to get into another tuner, so gave up. Just put some dyno tyres on it today, will keep you posted with the results. Looking forward to the season this year, racing starts in March.

I managed to get a few laps in at Barabagallo yesterday (about 50 laps). Car was only running ~10psi boost, half throttle and around 4k max rpm to put some kms on the new engine before the dyno tune.
Was good to be back out on the track again. Was running about 10 sec off my normal pace but the engine felt strong, hard to tell about lag as I wasn't really loading it up. Still haven't put the LSD centre in so when I pushed a bit still open wheeled. Do have some footage, don't think I'll upload it, it looks pretty pedestrian at that pace.

At this stage I would like to run it open like that.
But have the option to revert to spoiler and/or modify the spoiler to fit around it. The proposition of making the front nearly 100mm lower (Can't do that with the spoiler) lowers the CoG substantially and lowers the front static roll centre is pretty attractive. Will see how it runs like that first.

Going to leave the front of it open like that or mod the spoiler to fit?

few little updates.
made some new brake cooling inlets. not as good looking as the big front spoiler. but lighter, easier to replace, can get it on and off the trailer and can lower the front by nearly 100mm. Added a boost trim switch which will help with wet/drying track. took it for a bit of a drive today, everything seemed OK. a couple of small oil leaks easy to fix. Both front discs are really badly crazed/cracked so will have to upgrade those before hitting the track at speed. The RDA rotors don't seem to like the heat, will upgrade to DBA 4000 series rotors. Getting close to getting in the dyno now. looking forward to the results. ![]() ![]()
