A Series Manifold Templates For AutoCAD Available?

Hello all.

My name is Tom and I am a new member. I have been lurking for a while. I am planning an A15/5 speed build for my 1969 MG Midget and am making several plans for intake/carb combinations. I found the thread by member TnPshow A-Series Manifold Templates for Autocad - Come n get 'em. Just what I needed! Except the "members.iinet.net.au"-based links were all dead. Since TnPshow's member email is also from that ISP and since his member profile shows his last post being May of 2010 I don't hold out much hope that he will see this post.

What I am looking for is a copy of the CAD file for the intake and exhaust flanges for the small oval port H89 head. This head was OEM for 1980 A14s in the 210 and I snagged one recently to use on my 1982 A15 build. I plan to mod the factory intake to take a side draft carb of some sort (I have a 38mm Lectron) to get it running and broken in, then I will probably move to a twin HS4 deal. There may be other plans or options if I can just whittle parts out at will. Having the CAD models will make things much easier.

If anyone has the same or similar (later-style intake flange) intake and exhaust flange AutoCAD or Inventor (or DXF or STP) files could I get a copy? I have access to Inventor 11 and below.

First welcome,

You may or may not be aware that there is a twin carb set-up for the A-series engine, the GX manifold and twin hitachi SU's.
Getting that would save a lot of work. Now of course you may have a collection of SU's and manifolds in your MG stash and want to experiment. I would love to see the progress of your project, I've got a buddy who has a 68 Sprite he's working on, I tell him he needs to come and grab a Datsun engine from my garage. I do happen to have a an extra A-Series GX manifold lying around that I likely never use if it will help.

As RallyTwit has mentioned twin sidedrafts are already available if need be but since you are using lectrons
which are like bike carbs you can splice a stock manifold
for the flange and weld the tubes to is you need and
reinforce bridges like on turbo manifolds using flat plate.

Yes, I have been pondering more than one mod to the stock intake. In fact I have it on my list to get another one the next time I see it at the junkyard. But I also want to keep my options open in the future. I might try the 4 carb setup using bike carbs. I will eventually get around the EFI. I plan to have some fun with this engine and playing with carburation and induction is one good way to do that.

Here is one guy who modded the stock 210/310 intake to take two HS2s.

I plan to do the same but I will have to modify it to take flanges for HS4s.
