"Most common cause: Fuel filter pluged or loose fuel line causing air to draw into pump. Possibly crud in the fuel.
2nd most common: Contact Points set in the distributor is no adjusted correctly. Replace every 12 months/12,000 miles. Dunno how many hours that relates to in a stationary engine. "
I changed the filter. As for the fuel line, I will have a look:)
I don't think the contect points can be adjusted. It's electric. I could totally be wrong because I don't really know what I'm doing!

i had the exact same problem a few years ago and it turned out to be bad wiring to my battery GND terminals (or 12V) cant remember. Either way it confused me a lot until i actually traced it all from the battery to its relative places and found some crap wiring. Upon repairing, the beast was perfect again.
edit: with my problem, obviously, the entire 12v rail would be gone. everything would cut out, incl the engine.. lights, dash lights everything..
edit: yeh everything would cut out ; everything! if your motor is still idling then goes back to normal rev's (when you hit the throttle) then like other members said its likely a fuel delivery problem. goodluck!

when your engine stall, try to touch your ignition coil. it shouldn't be hot. if it is hot or very warm, replace it.

I was running my A15 for 1hour and 30min the other day and for the most part it runs great! As I was running it it has a big problem! It it almost stalls and random times! In that hour and a half it tried to stall on me 5 times. I don't get it?!?!
Any ideas?
God Bless ~Matt~
