Ok so I'm looking thro mr wiki over there I'm in the 4age part n stumbled on this

The AE86 rear live axle assembly is strong, and bolts into the Datsun 1200. Put the whole thing in there, and use the Toyota wheels while you're at it.
Now when they / someone says bolt it? Plz explain r they telling me I could go to a wrecker pick a ae86 diff up n thro it in I know the unit will be different but yer

good idea, but most AE86 were not LSD and since they are coil sprung it cannot be a bolt-in. The original poster may have meant it was narrow enough to fit under the 1200.

It brings up some good questions. The AE88 axle has been swapped in to some 1200 along with a TRD LSD and disk brakes, but it's not as easy as it sounds.
