Good stuff! Have you tried it? If yes can you honestly say you can feel a difference?

hahaha yeh went for a test drive afterwards... I replaced the steering column bush as well, to stop the steering shaft bouncing around like it was, So I can def feel a difference there, but as far as the steering box brace goes I'd say its purely cosmetic hahaha
But seriously it does help to sturdy the box under heavy cornering, as they are usually only held in place by 3 bolts... and they're not that big, 14mm bolts hahaha

hey shoota, stripped that A15 last night too... cant see much wrong with it at all... Bores are still in good condition.
Havnt removed pistons or crank yet, was sposed to do that tonight but the steering box brace turned up hahaha.
But from looking at the rods and crank from underneath theres no signs of anything bad... no discolouration or anything so hopefully all is well... gonna strip it completely, and send the block away to get cleaned, tested, and prob bored 20thou... rebuild and do a EFI conversion.

That looks sexy!
Surely it should have a decent sized backing plate inside the strut tower?
I've been thinking about buying one of these :)

yeh the backing plate isnt massive but it doesnt take that much load so it should be fine... the steering box now has 6 bolts securing it rather than 3 haha... :)
Looks cool, can see it clearly from front of car with bonnet open and only cost like 70 bucks lol

Did you realise that the top Maddat brake setup is the same as the one I have for sale? It's RX7 brakes on 200B struts.
Mine just needs a coilover kit welded on and it's the shizzle!
