Mmmmm Yeah well that will require a cut and new flanges job. its all one peice back to the mufflers from the extractors.

the headers on my old SS ute were HPC coated (from new).

I was of the opinion it made a pretty noticeable difference to the engine bay heat. Also meant they clean up really well, I had the power steering pump blow the preesure pipe out of the pump body, blasting fluid all over the headers (just after a couple of full power runs on the dyno and then warming the tyres up some , so they were damn hot!). Flames everywhere and melted plastic under the bonnet but the headers came up like new afterwards..

Prep is the basis to a quality job tho.

If they are new then it is easy as they really only need a good cleaning. If they are uesd it can be a problem as they then need to get rid of the carbon etc. already impregnated in the pipes.

I was quoted $242 last year to do my 4-1 set by HPC.
