That's the best advice as mcdat says. I heard the roomies blah blah blah blah. Don't call the workshops unless they are also rta accredited engineers. It's only rta and the vass engineers advice that counts cause they are signing off on your legality and rego.

That's what I had to do for engineering in Vic. Lucky had good fair engineer

Boosted brakes, collapsible steering column, emissions, seat belts and seat and seat belt mounting points. Brake performance the rest rwc items and adrs.

Also stricter on weight/ turbo or na capacity restrictions.

That was all the national stuff that vicroads also enforced since July last year. Lucky mine done 23rd June lol

From what I here the new specs are just the car has to comply to the ADR of the setup you are putting in, which means stronger everything, just means more money and time

Sorry but that's a load of crap, it would be near impossible to calibrate a non efi car to stability control. That also doesn't line up with the national standards that were updated to create a uniform set of standards across all states.

So if nsw wants to go it alone- I find that rumor hard to believe.

Just word going around is a new rule is conning out!!.. I don't know much about it but from what I've heard all cars with any sort of performance modification must be fitted with electronic stability control before it can be engineered or regoed.. So in other words that means we should all install a 10 thousand dollar system to our datsuns..
