If the manifold is a vanette one I'd recommend anyone with an unregistered 80's 1200 pick it up. I had a LOT of trouble trying to get my 85 ute registered cos the stuff I'd put in it didn't have an EGR valve to recirculate the exhaust and ended up buying one of these for the inspection. Save yourself some time and get it from the start.
