Sounds like a cool way to go. Rotaries are good for weight and horsepower. They aren't torquey, but with a 1200 ute, torque isn't an issue.

1973 datsun 1200 ute had this car for a while when i first did it i put an injected a15 but just wasnt enough power so now converting it to a 12a rotor, new set up is a series 2 12a N/A, rx7 5 speed box, borg warner shorten diff, commondore front and rear brakes
