I tried keeping the grille in the middle, but was too hard so just chopped it out. Looks fine if you put something else in there to fill the gap.

I want to try and make my Mira bar look like this, but not that extra bottom bit.

I stopped cutting ages ago and put the bar aside when I got stuck with the grill aswell. I have thought hard about cutting the grill completely out and adapt something else into it. Now that the topic had been brought up, I'll have a play and see if I can cut and shut a plastic 1200 grill into the Mira bar. It's just an idea at this stage. Just be careful with the mira bar, you don't want to take too much off it.

Cheers DD. Attempting to do exactly that. The problem I am finding is that the grille is really deep. Will definitely need a little more adjustment to sit tight against the ute under the standard front bumper.

Seems everybody removes the mira lower grille when they fit it to a 1200.

But maybe you could notch the grille at the corners so it will fit in between the 1200 indicator lamps.

I have just cut one down as well. I've got all of the top bit above the line lobbed off. The wiki mentions keeping the middle grille which I'd like to do as its good condition. I don't see how to keep the middle grille though if you have to widen the indicators? Any suggestions?
