hi guys, after some time i made the decision to use the ae86 axle bearing cause it is stronger but the thing was the inner diameter of the bearing was bigger by 3.05mm, so i decided to make a mid-piece to clear the 3.05mm you will see it in the pictures :)
this makes me very happy cause you guys now know a way to solve a problem :) Datsun 1200 ute h165 axles on shortened ae86 diff housing & LSD :D also i am very sorry for the crappy pictures i don't have a good camera just a crappy cellphone

i used the ae86 bearing cause of the piece that seals with the housing seal, you can use the stock 1200 bearing but you will have to machine a new piece for the seal or use another seal

hi guys, so the diff is mounted, pushed it a little to see what happened.... some burnouts, donuts, and a little drift (crashed the ute in the right rear panel not much damage at least) :P the axles seem to be fine :D so the work was good so far :D

Nice writeup.
Keep in mind there are at least three different AE86 rear axle assemblies: S-series 162mm diff T-series 170mm diff with 24mm axles (same as H165) T-series 170mm diff with 25mm axles (1985-up GTS)

must be the late one then if its the 85-87 one as thats what it says in the Wiki and most online sources meaning the 170mm 25mm axles are close to the H165 ones? anyone know the thickness of H165 ones?
