hi guys, so the diff is mounted, pushed it a little to see what happened.... some burnouts, donuts, and a little drift (crashed the ute in the right rear panel not much damage at least) :P the axles seem to be fine :D so the work was good so far :D

i used the ae86 bearing cause of the piece that seals with the housing seal, you can use the stock 1200 bearing but you will have to machine a new piece for the seal or use another seal

hi guys, after some time i made the decision to use the ae86 axle bearing cause it is stronger but the thing was the inner diameter of the bearing was bigger by 3.05mm, so i decided to make a mid-piece to clear the 3.05mm you will see it in the pictures :)

this makes me very happy cause you guys now know a way to solve a problem :)

Datsun 1200 ute h165 axles on shortened ae86 diff housing & LSD :D

also i am very sorry for the crappy pictures i don't have a good camera just a crappy cellphone

That's the good one, hard to find. Used like one year in USA. T284 I think.

well DD, i don't know the answer to your questions but it is a trueno (jdm) or a GTS (usdm) factory lsd and disc brakes, the one that uses the big bearing and 4.30 final gear i bought it from a japanese used parts importer

Nice work!

AE86 came with a couple of different rear axle assemblies, which one are you working with? Year and model? T281 or T283?

so... i got the 1200 housing and both axels, tested them in my ae86 shortened housing and lsd diff, they fit!!!!! also the ae86 bearings are bigger but i can use 1200 ones cause they have the same diameter outside the only problem is the shaft seal, it is not the same cause ae86 axels have bigger diameter, i have to figure out witch one will i use, will update on next weekend cause don't have time right now

cheers from Dominican Republic :)

im going to do it cause in my country (domican republic)its a little cheap to weld the housing and to get the h165 axels and housing and im very poor to buy a new lsd having one with just broken axel

hope the h165 axels do fit into the ae86 lsd diff

thanks nickmitty
