Ok so i have had blocks in the back of my ute for ages now and have decided to try and do the bottom leaf flip ontop of the stack to be able to run no blocks.

Today i have gone and pulled it all apart and done it and have actually dropped about 5mm more in ride height but now i have a knock in the back when i change gears, so while im driving with constant speed and acceleration it is all fine but as soon as i get off the gas it goes clunk and then as soon as i get back on it does it too. Any thoughts as to what it could be and also it is alot more noticable while im in 4th and over 60k.

On a side note if anyone has done this in a ute before did you notice that you had to pull the diff housing back about 3mm to 5mm to get it to go back onto the locating stud in the leafs

Thanks Steve

In my sedan no knocking. Is it your exhaust hitting on diff housing

no it did that before i put new dampers in but i put them in a few days ago now and it has only turned up since i have done the leaf flip and also only seems to do it when i unload or load up the diff, could it be that with having to pull the diff back a little bit i have loaded up the tail shaft uni's?????

could be that the u-bolts are now too long and the nuts tightened against the bottom of the thread rather than clamping the diff fully

When you flip leaves did you add one or remove one? Could the diff be pivoting on the bolt/nut through the leaf pack
