Hey guys, here are some pics from Powercruise that was held on the weekend. I only went as a spectator on Saturday and the track was very wet. I'm sure I missed some of the 1200's that were there but anyway. Feel free to add any other pics that you find/took.

it'd be boring if we all modded our cars in exactly the same way D

i dont agree with all the mods i see either, but i still appreciate the work gone into them all the same

I'm sorta where Ange is at - not all the cars are how I might personally have went with any project, but I have big respect for the passion, effort (and money, which would have taken lots of overtime/hard yakka to earn in the first place) that has gone into them.

That green ute reminds me of some pics I remember seeing of cars at 'miller chassis fabrication' - where the two roll bars pass into the rear section of the ute cockpit/rear window in particular look familiar. then again, no doubt many cages/chassis re-inforcements would end up looking very similar from different workshops, as they are all trying to achieve the same general goal - structural rigidity etc.

What's the deal with the powercruise - where exactly is it held? Can anyone participate, and are permits required for some of them to attend, since I'm guessing one or two wouldn't be able to be legally rego'd - or are they trailered to the event. Years ago, it was sort of a type of 'pride' to be able to drive a car to and from an event. The way the politicians have jumped on the 'stop hoons' bandwagon, despite statistics showing that it's not so much burnouts, but inexperience and age that are the two biggest correlating factors with road fatalities, I doubt there's many of us who still feel like risking driving to and from an event in the project car.
