I snuffed at these engines when I saw them at EKW some years ago
for a measly price of 400-800 dollars but now I realise what they
are and how they could suit an under 1600cc class engine for a
1000 or 1200 car for someone else looking for a unique setup.
all alloy crossflow 4 cylinder with 50kg weight and with supercharger
and turbo or turbo only setups 930cc, 987 cc and 1235cc
havalook at the factory conrods!!! beef!!!

Looking at the forged crank, its hollowed on the big ends to save weight
This might be the lightest modern 4 cylinder from Nissan by far.

looks very simmilar to the e15 pulsar engine , not a bad base to start with but to get them going in the litre sprint cars they are spending $25-30K on them to get them to run on methanol ,but with a turbo or supercharger they could be a cheaper alternative

They are smaller than the E series due to bore spacing and the fact they fit into small engine bays like the figaro, march and other cutte little Nissan micros.

Would be good get the march super turbo ma09et gearbox as it has viscous lsd and
then the ma12et block then run the ma10et turbo only gear.

What I'd like to know is what model car they come from, how common are they and are they easy to get parts for?
