looks nicely done
I am just looking at carpet for the tray. Did you install it yourself? How does it go on the corrugations on the floor of the tray? What made you decide to go up the sides?

I cut the shape out of the marine carpet and then had a mate help who own's B!tch'n Stitch'n auto upholstery in canberra who has a specail sprey on adhesive (using a spreygun) to hold it.. (i'll try find out what the name of the adhesive is for you)
In the corrugations on the sides spare marine carpet was used to fill the corrugations to make is smooth first then use one big piece to cover it all the way around as the tail gate is welded and i am making up an aluminium hard cover that i will tig together it was to just make it a much nicer look.. As for the marine carpet on the bottom its the same shade as you may see as the sides but has a ripple effect in it.. the carpet on the downwards side has larger ripples and fit into the grooves of the corrugations for a smooth finish and a small amount of adhesive to hold it in place.. The tub only took approx an hour to do.. I have still not finished it off i am getting a 'J' Piece of aluminum to put on the topside of the carpet (top of tray) and bend it around the corners of the tray to have a complete nice finish and Polish it up

Cheers :) The exhaust is certainly quiet compared to it running just on extractors lol, but with the new exhaust it is quiet but still has a nice rumble to it when its idling but certainly a distinct tone now when you give her a few revs and you have the whistle of the twin webbers which is bliss to the ears And its certainly great to have some back pressure.. This is probably the best video that sounds very like the exhaust now.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ureeaUg7KsY Ill try take a video of it and the car itself and upload it to youtube

Are you still happy with the carpet?
I am considering going down to Knox Carpets once I get mine on the road My Trans tunnel is already auto AND a little bit more (massaged a bit larger due to the Silvia Auto requirements) Will they fit the carpet too ?

Yeah happy with the carpet they did a good job with it from knox and i installed it myself just spent the time to do it right.. but it certainly is loose around tunnel it would be the neat if it had the auto tunnel..
Im sure they would fit the carpet but im in Canberra and Knox carpets is down in Melbourne..

Ok cool. I have an Auto tunnel and it has been encouraged a little to be bigger for the CA18 auto box so it might fit perfectly :)
as for the grill - sometimes I think the old style is more stylish - good job You can view topic.
