First I would like to say hello to everyone on the forum. I am a classic car enthusiast from the UK and i'm currently on holiday in Laos in South East Asia.

Since being here I have noticed quite a few of the Datsun 1200n around, some in good condition some, well have character.
My master plan is to try and purchase a Datsun in Lao and transport it back to Europe via the Tans Siberian Railway and drive it across Europe to my home for a full restoration. A trip of a life time and something I'm very keen on doing. The model in particular I believe is the two door the same as this model but obviously the condition and styling wont be like this. Can someone specify this exact model?
What is this exact model?
Does anyone here know anyway contacts in South East Asia for these kinds of cars. They seem to be popular.

I will also post an advert in the wanted section. This could turn out to be a long thread if I find a car. And then I will start a project page on the restoration. I have rebuilt classic minis and fords before so cant wait to get stuck in.
I hope you like my idea and would love some input.
