I Know that "Lachie" is running Weld wheels might have to PM him or hopefully get him to look at this post to see what he is running

Hey mate, not sure how much help this will be as my setup is quite different to yours. My ute still retains the 1200 struts. It's got some variety of pulsar/pintara brakes & calipers on it and I had to get billet hubs made up to get the wheels to sit inside the guards.

My wheels are also 3.5" wide so they were pretty small width wise to squeeze inside the guards. It was basically a case of I want these wheels what needs to be done to get them to fit.

As they stand now the front track is also way to wide for act rego which may or may not be an issue that you want to consider.

I'm in Melb at the moment, when I get back to Canb I'll try and take a photo or two for you if you want.

The issue of the edge of the caliper hitting aftermarket wheels is common on the 1200 disk brake system. I have ground down the edge of the caliper for wheel clearance many times in the past.

Keep in mind if you are going to grind down the caliper for clearance you should fit new brake pads before grinding for clearance as the brake pad thickness directly influences the position of the cross plate.

Had one case where things were great. The car had several thousand miles on the new wheel tire package. Then I replaced the brake pads with some PBR semi metalic pads as an upgrade. Bolted the wheels back on and the car would not move...
