So being fwd what bits do I need to keep on the motor and which to get rid of?

What you trying to do? Fit a fwd ca18 or just strip for parts?

turbo wont fit.... give it to me
wouldn't think much other than inlet manifold, possibly sump but doubt it

So it seems the motor was from a s13 which is the right thing, it's been bored and stroked to a 2.2ltr! The bloke tells me it's all good apart from having an exhaust leak, so will sort pickup and hope to have it in my pos by next weekend!
