#1 need help with sr20 swap!!!
metalka24 Posted on: 2012/5/4 7:42
hey Forum I'm working on my 1200coupe and Im eager to place an Sr20de from an Infinity due to their availability and low prices here in California mainly on the wrecking yards!!
anyways my main concern is the placement of the distributor on the back of the head instead of being on the side?
is there a way around it?
I know its easier to go with an s14 engine setup
or should i just go with the ka24?
I'd really appreciate any help that you guys can provide
thanks

unless you want to chop your fire wall to bits id spend the money and get the S14 version or alternatively the KA24E is a good motor too I have one in my navara/hardbody

S14 is tricky to as they have a huge plenum that can cause probs with brake master and clutch master. S13 is the ideal SR20 for conversion. LOUIX used an S13 SR20 engine recently look at his build thread it fits nicely.

S14 inlet manifold will not pose a problem with the brake and clutch master cylinders on a LEFT hand drive car.

NOTE *** I think the OP is in the U.S. otherwise I don't believe he would be buying an engine from California.
