If anyone on the island has a spare bluebird distributor cap, [bosch unit from L series electronic dizzy, I maybe able to get is started again tomorrow. I will do some re wiring tomorrow and see how it goes.

did you work out the cause of fire.

I think it may have resulted from a very small fuel leak onto the exhaust wrap [acting like a sponge] until there was enough on the hot exhaust to ignite.

hope you can get it up and running again,times where looking great, especially the cars you where up against in your group. second fastest , that's awesome for a little N/A engine.

Bennys car was very fast on track.Definately gave me more inspiration on built NA a-series track cars.I saw ate engines stickers on his car so im assuming bige built the engine.The way bennys' car flew and took on the other competitors,i can say biges engines are no joke!!

also my highlight of the day was simons a12 turbo monster.down to earth and very friendly guy.Was kind enough to take time and explain his frankestein creation.was a pleasure to meet u mate.I also noticed he was one of the very few drivers that followed the tracks 'racing line'.Car sounded insane.Car had a roof on top of it when not racing.little things which show how much his committed to his car.

anyway i tried and recorded forum members car on track.my phone was running out of charge so i couldn't record for long periods.ive just created google account for youtube and uploading at the moment.i will post up link once its done.excuse my recordings shaking sometimes.better than nothing....

what speeds were u guys reaching down the straight? looks fun and dawnting at the same time.can't wait to one day start track racing.

Well my speedo in the coupe hit vertical off the clock and just started bouncing by about just past mid way down the straight lol

Benny would be devestated but the damage wasn't massive, mainly paint and some wiring, he will have it back up to scratch in no time. definately an impressive car, he started behind me on one session, it was my highlight of the day racing with another coupe. He caught me and then left me behind, its a well sorted car.

Simons was definately quick! Unfam sounded good and was quick as was stock1200s. Unfortunately didn't see much of stu's y but he seemed happy with it

Mine got through the day which is a win, went well and I had great fun, I think I was the only one without semi slicks but I chased down a few cars. Was a bit too tempting to slide through the hairpin but I mostly resisted

Everyone should circuit there car at least once! Don't wait till the cars "finished" that never happens

I second Rc wish I had have slapped mine together for the day was even good to watch, the day was very well sorted and not to much down time! Very well done!
Bennys car was sweet and very well setup! As was Simons car very neat to see some good times put in! Also good to see ppl from other states turned up like m holt, benny, and some 1600 boys
