Ok guys thanks alot,Don't realy know much about the a15 engine/a15 swap.So i'll mostly ask some more questions in future.

Just want the a15 engine for street/daily driving.Could the a 12 flywheel and the clutch/pressure plate/and clutch disc work on the a15?

My a12 after i had rebuilt it 2yrs ago.

Yeah use the a12 flywheel try to use a heavy duty clutch though. The a12 fly is popular choice as lighter than a15

for street use on an a15 you wont want a lightened fly, the a12 would be nice (if you have a flywheel from an a15 vanette now)

the a15 is like changing to a V8, super torquey and wont like revving hard (maybe it will but theres no point as the power is not up there)

you'll find yourself tootling along nice and quick just short shifting gears around 4000rpm, so dont spend any coin trying to improve high rev and dont put too big carbs on it

what year is your car? if it is pre 74 you will need a post 74 engine cross member to mount the a15 (or make adaptor plates)

if your car is pre 74 you will also need to rewire the alternator to the other side of the car

you should use a15 inlet and exhaust manifolds, the carburettor is essentially the same

the fuel pump is also different to pre 74

the distributor is mounted in a different place but the unit is the same

the clutch cable may also be different (different diameter mounting boss where it passes through the bellhousing flange)

the a15 is 10-15mm taller

It depends on which A15 you get.

* Most A15 from B310 is a high-revver and makes max power at 6000 RPM.

* A15 from MPG/FU car (USA B310 OPTION) is a low revver but returns better than 40 miles per gallon.

* Vanette A15 may be different.

Yeah should be slightly richer than stock a15 carb

My Sedan is 1971 Model.It has a late model a12 and my mounting brackets have been altered to suit.My alternator have been rewired to the rightside from the original 1200 position.Open in new window





I plan to use my orginal a12 carburetor,would that be better performance than the a15?

A12 carburetor will have less performance than an A15 carburetor -- it is smaller. Use the A15 carburetor unless it is worn out.

Then i should use the A15 carburetor.I think the a15 is much heavier than the A12,Will more weight make it handle better?
