From memory, isnt their another rule for IPRA for under 3lt cars can only have 7 inch wide rims max, over 3lt can have 8 inch.

Thanx guys. I am not getting to serious about the racing. I just want to go do the odd hill climb. And motorkhanas. I am keeping the car registered so if they won't let me run 8 " rims on the track I will keep these ones for road use and get some cheep 7 inch rims for the track. Ithe gurds should only need around 30 mm flaring so that part should be fine. If worse comes
To worse I will Just race my 240z instead :)

i wouldnt be so concerned with what class you end up in if its going to be a road registered car that you do
the odd club sprint/hillclimb in. Most clubs had my ute in sports sedans because it didnt fit into anything else,
but who your up against is irrelevant if your just out there for some fun.

having said that, if you ever get serious about racing your going to need some pretty radical mods
to be competitive in sports sedans

That's true. If I decide I want to get serious. I have a 260z 2 seater coming my way very soon that I will be keeping more original. I will run that in the road registered or improved production class

I just inherited a 260z 2 seater so now the shakotans from my 1200 have found a new home.
Now the stock 260z rims are on the 1200 for the time being. Now the more i looke at them on the 1200 the more i like them. I think with lower profile tires the would work.
What brakes would be sufficient under 14" rims I have some 200b struts with brakes i was going to fit up later. Would the 200b front brakes be sufficianbt for hill climbs and sprints?

It is getting closer to start on this project. But there is a slight change of plans, so I might have to start a new build thred. It is no longer going to be a race car. Well not a dedicated one any way. I figured now I have the blue 260z 2 seater an my yellow 240z is already track ready I will be using the 240z on the track instead.
I am going to build the 1200 a bit more simple. It will no longer be gettin the l20b so I will be looking at swapping it or selling it for an a15
Ill give the a15 a mild build with a set of twin side drafts.
I will put up a classified add latter on.

Ok I ignore the last post. I have had no luck finding an a15 local that some one will swap with my l20. So today the build officially starts. I will be fitting the l20b and gear box to the engine bay this weekend. There will be pics to come.
