From memory, isnt their another rule for IPRA for under 3lt cars can only have 7 inch wide rims max, over 3lt can have 8 inch.

Does that include just pumping the hell out of the guards? No flares

Maximum guard extensions is 50mm per side from original guard lip front and rear. This is for CAMS competition events under Improved Production class.Hope that helps before you get carried away spending cash.Cheers

If those wheels are on stock struts I'd try keep with 1200/120y struts and like s13 brakes or those wheels will be another 20mm out with stanza/200b/240z style But looks good! I was thinking about them when I bought my wheels

This is literally a ground up rebuild. I received my rims from rota Australia today. they are 15x8 zero off set with 205 50 tires. I am going to have to flare the front fenders / guards a bit to get them under but i sort of expected that.
next on the parts list will be some coil overs and lowerd rear springs from maddat.

cheers
mick

it is great that we can pick up old technology that many people have put so much time and many thousands of dollars into and revive it to make a truley great classic race car for such a small price.

i pretty dam excited :). I talked my mate in to selling me is L20b from his old rally car. It comes with a set of twin dellorto 45's
I am not sure of the specs of this engine just yet but i will find out this weekend. I have been in this car with this motor and i can say it was stupid fast for a NA 4 cyl and that was in a 1600. so it will be scary in a 1200. The motor is all apart for inspection at the moment so i will have to put it back together. I cant complain because I am getting the whole lot for $600. i cant wait
