Another thought, fuel pump block plates may be useful to some as well. That's something else I've been procrastinating on making.

Going off on a longer tangent, what do you reckon some aluminium laser cut frames might look like for the tail light assemblies? Sit some glass/ plastic behind and some appropriately coloured LEDs.

Cheers. Lamb. I'm putting the final touches on the drawing for the water pump plate and will have it finished and ready to cut very soon.

Fuel pump plates...Not a bad idea either. I will have to get my hands on a spare pump and make a drawing for that too.

As far as tail lights are we talking ute/coupe/sedan? I reckon it would be a little bit of a hassle cutting the plate and then bending it to suit. But I am open to trying.

I was thinking of Coupe tail lights since they mount flat. May not look any good but a thought worth playing with.

With any luck the fuel pump block off would suit other cars to.

Well its been a year and half and I finally got a finished product. I have two pieces at the moment. I would like someone to volunteer installing one and test if there is any leaks. Anyone willing to try for me?

It's only 2mm Stainless steel. I wanted 5mm alloy but I guess they ran out of sheet or something got lost in the communication. These were thrown in for free with my last order of side vents so I am just asking for someone to try them out for fitment before I mass produce them. ( I am dattoless at the moment )

Cheers.

I have a running car and keep needing to drop the coolant for various jobs but I would guess someone closer to home is a better option if you're after a quick result. My gut feel is the 2mm plate wont be stiff enough.

I'm in oz temporarily. I suspect you are right that it is not thick enough. If you are keen lamb PM me your address. I really just need to confirm it fits well and fully covers the pump area, screw holes line up etc.... not sure whether tube gasket sealer or a paper gasket is the way to go.

You will get a free finished plate for helping out....when they are finished

2mm will be fine in steel, maybe 3mm for aluminium

bi-metal corrosion may be a problem with stainless

i will try the plate on a spare motor if you like

will PM my address and you can send it to me if it's easiest
