was looking a box of carby bits and had an idea!

I know more about brain surgery than carbys.

If you look at an H95 inlet manifold (ex B310 A15) the side where the PCV screws in is flat sided..

Using a simple lump of 16mm ally plate as an adaptor, I think a single SU carby could be fitted to the SIDE of the H95 manifold.Original carby opening would have to be blanked.

probably not enough room between the head and strut tower for this on a 1200 but it might fit on a 1000

Would this work or is this a BAD idea?

Sounds like a good idea, I wonder how well a A15 will perform with a 2 inch SU

Brilliant idea! We'll have to see how well it works.

A single 38mm throttle should work well with a plenum manifold (like the stock manifold). The stock carburetor is only 20/26 venturis, the 38mm sidedraft opens up to almost a 38mm venturi.

The twin-configuration has no plenum to speak of so each 38 only works part of the time. With a plenum it's working full time so to speak.

most of my toys are in storage
could someome using an H95 inlet on a B10 or B110 measure the distance between the PCV and the strut tower?
