Im thinking about purchasing a new seat for my 1200 ute or possibly having my original one reupholstered...
My current seats springs are beginning to sag and its starting to bother me.
Im not looking for a race bucket as i have a fat ass and i would rather not go into the engineering aspect.... just something nice.
I do need something that is reasonably skinny as im 6 foot.
Any help or previous or current experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Cheers,
Eddy

I have KA Laser seats in mine, and they are a bolt in. (well, the hole centres are about >5mm out but its doable) and they are eleventy bazillion times more comfy than the originals, but the headrests touch the rear window, and they are almost twice as thick in the back than the original ones, so maybe not much chop if you are 6 feet.

When the time comes though, I will def be getting them recovered, as they suit my fat ass perfectly (I am only 5'10")

Maybe send them a email and ask them? I remember last weak I was searching on ebay and the had a pair of seats for a mitsu Fto and and in the description they had for Fto or Datsun.
Just so happens I have a Fto so I will measure the mounts and see if they will fit.

most makes and models seats will fit....but when theres bugga all to next to no room in utes with your knees up around your ears, recover standards are easyer way, anyways you can plump them up to look very modern, i get mine recovered as we speak 400pr

Hotrocket is right on the money !! I got a set of velo GPT 90s in mine now but will prob only use them for track days and hill climbs, put the stock ones in to roll around the city !! Mind you a deep dish steering wheel will help get the steering wheel into a nascar position... Haha

I've got some seats if you're interested, fairly skinny and ultra comfy. Never fitted since being reupholstered but they fit a 1200 ute no worries.

Those seats look crazy. Like out of a movie set on Star Trek or something.

I've seen a few guys put MX-5 seats. Not sure what model
they were, think its the older type. Small and pretty comfy apparently.
