very likely to have more power, because those TE's use T series engine, nissan's L direct competitor

pitty there weren't many isuzu bellett GT's released in Australia. They are a great looking car with good engines , good build quality and good driveline / suspension

Dave brought his genuine te27 to last datsun1200.com vic cruise
same size if not smaller.abit heavier but more hp stock.also most likely more hp modified equally.

That's a mini-Camaro front end. Beautiful to children of the 1960s i think.

And they were fun to drive. Just not very reliable. And overweight.

Did I mention fun to drive?

My '71 1200 coupe with vinyl roof and four speed only weighed a hair over 1600lbs
and that was with a full tank of gas, on the CHP truck scale.
A comparable '71 Vega 2300 GT hatchback was listed at a bit over 2300lbs with 1/2
tank of gas.

The Vega is much smaller than the Torana. But still bigger than a 1200.
