This looks grouse, would you care to share some light on the subject, specs, where the bits were purchased, how you went about this etc. This is pretty much exactly want i want to do with my next engine. Have spoken to a shop in melb that said they can sell me everything which would cost around like the 3 grand mark minus the manifold... i thought that was a little excessive?

A full setup with manifold is about $2500, but depending on the ECU could be as much as $3500.

Righto, is it really worth it though? Like is there THAT much better performance compared to a pair of well tuned carbys?

Racers will pay thousands for a race-winning extra 2 HP. So to some, EFI is worth it regardless of cost.
You have to pay an expert to tune EFI, whereas you can tune a carburetor at home. Get a factory A14E manifold, Datsun factory EFI fuel pump & Datsun ECU (or MegaSquirt ECU) and be done for $1000. With the Datsun ECU it tunes itself, so the expense of expert tuning is saved.

yeah mate be happy too,, they are 40mm id Efi hardware throttle bodies purchased 2nd hand from from a mate for roughly $1000, mounted on a JTS twin weber manifold which i tig welded back down to 40mm to suit the bodies. Jtd 4 into 2 into 1 extractors, the bodies came with throttle position and appropriate sensors, i got an n12 pulsar electronic dizzy and cut 3 lobes off the reluctor to act as a cam sensor to trigger every number 1 tdc compression, (every 720 crank degrees) i havent yet mounted my crank angle sensor, this will be a 36-2 trigger whell attahed to the crank pulley with a universal 2 wire a/c sensor i got off ebay, the computer is a fairly old motec m4 that came with a previous racecar

all depends on the experience of the tuner to how much horsepower and so forth you achieve, i know of more hp being made from a set of well tuned twin webers but with the driveability regardless of weather/humidity and temperature, just turn the key and your on your way, i did seriously think about twin carbies but for the price of a decent pair its actually not that expensive to compare efi and carbies. ill be tuning this my self and am thinking about doing some tinkering with e85 fuel aswell
