Would you consider rewriting the first post so we can understand what you are asking?

seems like a simple situation to me

you have an exhaust leak, you tried to fix it the dodgey way. that didn't work

you have three options:

1. have an exhaust shop fabricate that flange section that seals to the manifold from new materials... may or may not work

2. get the after-manifold section from another car that is in better condition and have that cut in to your exhaust

3. get extractors and have them fitted

4. wait for little baby jesus to come perform a miracle and post a solution that won't cost you money

And if you don't believe in Jesus insert which ever religion or non denominational belief in its place.

a common mistake is to assume an exhaust leak is not affecting how the motor is running

it certainly does, power drops, fuel consumption goes through the roof, idle gets higher and rough and you get flat spots

you will kick yourself for not doing it earlier the day you fix this exhaust leak, you have gone through 4 or more carbies trying to get it running right if memory serves me correctly

you will save the money you spend in fuel economy let alone the mental trauma you put yourself through

Yes thats the Right word,s METAL TRAUMA I have taken the car To the Exhaust shop the
Exhaust is fixed As good as it will get flage gasket. On my B310 1980 sunny The flage gasket
Is NOT A REMOVEABL gasket Like my 1200 was. And yes i have tightend all mainafold bolts pipes
Hose,s all that so i have been doing long drive,s and useing a octain booster and car will now do about allmost 380ks to a 30liter tank it it RUNS Better flat spot still there but not as bad. Could it be just #OOPS# fuel in QLD and Norther Nsw that i have been traveling To As far as Balina nsw
