Is there more than one iron for the 1200?
My 1200 failed it's warrant of fitness inspection on the front bumper needing secured properly.
The holes in my irons are at too wide a centers for the captive nuts on my body. With the bracket overlapping the holes, (at best) you can barely see half a hole on each one.
The holes in my body where the captive nuts are, are at 70mm centers. How about on your 1200's?
Has anyone encountered this problem before?

The stays?

They are all the same 1970-1994 ... except there is a different part for 1973 USA model, which stays can be identified by the squiggly shape.

It looks to me like the top one has the holes slightly closer together. Which is what I need.

These two are a matched set (left and right)

Oh, okay.
They look similar to the extra pair I just bought.
I wonder why my holes are too close together?

They aren't a matched set.

There are early and late model ones.
Early ones have the mounting holes closer together.

If you are doing a CA18/sr20, using the later model ones do a better job if your radiator (s13/n13) barely squeezes into the width of a 1200 engine bay.

You need to move the captured nut on the engine bay side. This involves drilling out the spot welds and welding the plate back into the new position. Before finalizing the new holes, trial fit the front bar and front panels to make sure you aren't mounting the bar at the wrong angles.

Could you not just drill the other half if the stays holes to make it look legit?

Don't they understand if you hit something in a 1200 that wouldn't be much protection anyway?

Ah, new information. In mid-1972 they went to H1002 versions and used them until 1994. Maybe the slots are longer.

That photo is 62671-H1001 (left) and 62670-H1001 (right).

Yeah, mine is a 1972. (Build number 001892)
If I fit one bolt, and try pivot the bar till the next one lines up, the angle the bumper is aat is all wrong. (Aside from the fact the holes don't line up) In fact with the bar at the correct angle, one of the holes is completely out in the breeze/uncovered by the iron.
Anyone got any early irons spare?
I really really really CBF making some.

I went over to a mates house yesterday. He thought he had a spare 1200 bar with irons. But he wasn't able to find it. I measured his 1200. To begin with, his bolts are 10mm, whereas mine are only 8mm. Plus his bolts are at 90mm spacings, whereas mine are 70mm.
