Looks like a nice job there with your dump pipe. Good work!!!
Has your engineer given you the go ahead on your gear box xmember? Good to get that extra bit of ground clearance!

No on the engineering side, I spoke to my tuner and he said they will organise the engineering of it. They have a mobile guy that will come buy when its in their shop, I am kinda crossing my fingers. I have taken plenty of pictures of the things I have built so if he needs info hopefully that will be enough.

Hay D, what do you mean if the head had an oil restrictor put in it. You dont mean to restrict the feed to the ball bearing turbo or is the head restriction a different mod???

yes sorry I meant the block and supposedly a worthwhile mod as its also a problem on some RB motors that like the CA hadnt been corrected due to the short evolution of the CA while the late RBs had this issue corrected?

No ignorance at all, this information is difficult to find as some forums and threads are long gone but supposedly (pls chime in CADET gurus) too much oil goes to the head and no enough drains back into the sump causing starvation at the main bearings under prolonged acceleartion.
Blocked breathers can also cause some pressure buildup issues but only on older engines or incorrectly setup breathers.

Cheers for that, it kinda rings a bell. I do remember that some CA guys weld wings/boxes to the edges of their sumps to increase the capacity as the oil drains back too slow to the sump and the pick up can be exposed to air. I guess I could either enlarge the drain back passages in the head or increase the sump capacity. Doing both would be best,I am running a remote oil cooler/filter set up which will incerease capacity maybe 500ml (hoses and cooler core volume). I was hopeing not to pull the head off so I might chance it for now and just keep an eye on the oil pressure and temp.
