No, only a 60 series will fit, and no I don't have a spare.

Do you mean 60L 4-speed?

60-series and 56-series gearboxes use the same release bearing sleeves. But there are two different lengths.

Measure yours. Because 1200s can come with either size.

If you swap just the transmission from 56L to 60L, the two transmissions are different length. So just add the Engine Plate used with 60-series transmissions and it should make up the difference (assuming you are not running Engine Plate now).

If you swap only the transmissions from 56L to 60L:

* If you A12 was not previously using an Engine Plate, add the Engine Plate used with 60-series transmissions.

* If your A12 was already using an Engine Plate, then remove it and use no Engine Plate.

All the engine plates are the same.

it depends ...

was the A15 & transmission working together before? Then don't change anything.

To be more exact, the engine does not matter, but the flywheel does. This combination should work:
* Any A-series engine (A12/A14/A15)
* Thick flywheel (30mm not 28mm)
* 60-series 4-speed or 5-speed
* Short release bearing sleeve
* Engine plate

I will suggest using removing engine plate if using thin 28mm flywheel. I think that will work.

Here all all the differences:
* Engine Plate is 3.5 mm thick
* A12 flywheel is 2mm thinner than A14/A15 flywheel
* Sleeves are 4.5mm difference
* Transmission seems to be 3.5mm difference (56L is longer)
