addition to that i have another earth wire to the car body too from the starter motor itself(installed by previous owner him self)

thanks

no earth wire for the starter, as the starter body itself is earth. weak cranking can also happens if the engine earth is insufficient.

From the factory there is no earth for the starter. Yet it works fine.

Unless the cable connections are no shiny bare metal.

Yes, a battery can go from acceptable to less than acceptable in 10 days. They have a life of 3 to 6 years, then they go bad.

Hi Guys

i have installed all the ground cable and power cable, yet the problem is there ? i Only get a click sound from the starter relay that is it ,i have checked the connectivity around ground cable and it is ok,but when we pull the starter out and give the supply it works,
Since there is no other option i removed the internal parts of starter , it was badly wet and dirty and greesy inside it, wonder how it had been working so far ? i don't know Cleaning those stuff and installing a new set of Brushes will sort the problem, but i am going to do it and install it back tonight again to see,
This is the last attempt on it before xmas if not i have to give up it start to work on it most probably next year.

thanks

Yes, you installed new cables.

Did you clean the battery terminals, and the new cable terminal ends? It's easy to do and may solve the problem. If it doesn't no harm done, only takes a few minutes, and it is supposed to be done every 12 months.

Hi DD

Yes those ground cables ends are pretty clean and clear now, and also checked the connectivity through engine and car chassis too, they are perfect battery is good ,Solenoid is getting 12V when ignition key to start, is there any way that a starter motor can work on the bench and doesn't work on the car installation if the connectivity are perfect ?
Some one told me it must not be working on the load while engaging with the flywheel is it possible to starter to behave like that ?

thanks

Yes, indeed, that is very true and I run across this problem every week in my mechanic work.

The way has to do with load. A starter may only draw 60A on the test bench (out of the car). At load (when turning an engine) it may draw up to 300A. Partially clean connections are not good enough at these high amperages.

Connectivity test does not matter when the starter asks for 300A - unless the connections are Very Clean.

Pretty clean means not the same thing as "cleaned down to shiny bare metal". See Battery Mainenance for instructions and photos.
