Looks like a nice coupe, you can get your rear springs reset lower if you want better comfort/ride. Probably cost around 2-300 tho.

Anyone know about whats legal for lowering leafs? I am pretty sure you can go blocks but I don't really want to.

Sweet! Love the color. Yeah I love the colour too :) Needs a few touch ups but it's not in bad nick. Single carb dual barrel, I see. Thanks for the link

It has rear drums and front discs. It takes a lot of effort to get it to stop so what would my best options be to make it easier on the pedal and stop faster? Adjust the rear brakes, and it'll stop with very little effort. Unless you have racing brake pads and brake shoes that is, they increase the effort required. See our tech article Brake Adjustment.

Sweet! Love the color.
Btw that is a single-carburetor of the two-barrel type. Similar to the stock A12 carburetor (two-barrel).

So I bought my first Datsun and first car a few days ago.
![]() ![]() It is a green '72 1200 Coupe and I love it. ![]() It came with a modified A12 - Dual 32/36 Carbies (Weber I think), extractors to a 2 inch exhaust, bigger cam (not sure on specs), possible other internals not sure though. ![]() Re-done interior: ![]() ![]() JVC head unit with Fusion fronts and Pioneer rears and a 12" Pioneer Vccs sub. Pretty nice 14's (can someone identify the make?) and 195/60's front and back. ![]() So, questions. First plan is to lower it, with help from "crab45" I have got myself a pair of lowered front king springs. For the back I thinking of taking the bottom (smallest of the 3) leaf, flipping it and placing it on the top of the pack. 1) Is this legal to do? 2) I am presuming if I did it with the middle leaf I would get a larger drop and more stiffness. Is that correct? 3) It has rear drums and front discs. It takes a lot of effort to get it to stop so what would my best options be to make it easier on the pedal and stop faster? Bigger and/or better brakes? Bigger booster? I got no idea haha. :p Thanks fellas. This forum is awesome! ![]() You can view topic.
