UPDATE:
Went to the brand new drag strip "spring mount" on the atherton tablelands up here in sunny fnq. They had a members day to help bed the track in. Some awesome cars came out of the woodwork! First half of the day saw most of the field spin tyres most of the way. Bikes were held back till after lunch after the first rider fell off due to the slipper conditions! Given the fact i knew i was selling my diff setup and worried about small axels and having to drive 100km home i approached the day with caution. First Run 14.9 no traction and backed off Second Run 14.2 still no traction to start Third Run 14.1 and beat and xr6t flacon. Started to hook about this point in the day after the pro drag cars laid some serious rubber down. Fourth Run 13.8 launched at 1000rpm - no traction loss It was 36deg and suffering a bit of heat soak and i was on my daily street tyres. R31 diff going in next week before next meet and today i just got given a disco potato turbo for FREE..it just needs a rear housing and waste gate. Next drag meet is on the 19th march. Keen to see how ill go with a more aggressive launch and some semi slicks.

Disco on and tuned, pulled 240rwhp (180kw) with a restrictive exhaust and again it was above 33deg in the dyno room.
Best run down the 1/4 mile is 13.2. Street tyres, lots of traction loss. And again in tropical heat. Just had a customer reverse into the front..insurance paid up so it a complete new front end and a new colour. Getting the tub rhino lined and some other rust bits sorted too

Hi Guys,
A little update and a few pics before the accident and colour change https://goo.gl/photos/eN9HmQopcXkDSKK59 https://goo.gl/photos/iUMzAbobs3EsKSqY9 Accident https://goo.gl/photos/cpJxP5PmtqLtbny2A i know it doesn't look that bad but everything was buggered. Complete new front end (repo panels are #OOPS#!) Paint is Grigio Telesto a Lambo colour. Went all out and used ppg as insurance was paying. Its actually a pearl/metallic and pics don't do it justice. I first saw this colour on an rx3 featured on Jay Leno's Garage While it was all out i powder coated all the front trim gloss black, head light surrounds and anything else removable. Cooler piping, radiator mouting plate etc is powder coated matt black. Strut brace is powder coated gunmetal. Paint pics etc Decided to re-support the panel for some extra strength. https://goo.gl/photos/gMiQsaZYqQuhq2bA9 Refurbished Dash with blue led globes https://goo.gl/photos/KUedn4n6UMUsnNWv6 Paint https://goo.gl/photos/icE6ikRruVkpMoJ27 https://goo.gl/photos/FewcdpSXkZscLU7u8 https://goo.gl/photos/PeuiFjez7ZvCWY6g7 https://goo.gl/photos/whC1fskYAWVfJu1WA https://goo.gl/photos/uwFUeyHqQtXR1EyG8 https://goo.gl/photos/uwFUeyHqQtXR1EyG8 Sparco Sprints installed......and engineered/mod plates!! if anyone wants the report on these so you can engineer them contact me...they are not sold as adr approved https://goo.gl/photos/7V1AJMXfjw5xcSmD9 https://goo.gl/photos/sSxh8rjrMDDTaPGW8 Oh, and yeah i got new rear wheels and powder coated them all. Specs are 15x7 +12 up front with supafatto coilovers, 15x8+4 on the rears. Rolled/Lipped guards all round. Since this image i have lowered the car more all around for the flush stance sort of look. Its still totally practical with no rub etc. https://goo.gl/photos/yxw2qKVr29gUDGyz9 https://goo.gl/photos/onWdMad6AFNSfue68 Engine Bay..still not happy with this setup at all. In time i will make this really clean. Changing turbos etc is on the cards very soon as I've run out of turbo with the gt2860rs. So customs tanks, new piping for the radiator etc etc etc. Any as it is: https://goo.gl/photos/km5FxB7cAdsZNP1h7 With the fast approaching wet season I'm keen to not be driving this daily, so i have purchased a mint series 3 rx7 due for delivery october...13b extend port, 48mm ida weber, lsd and AIR CON! much needed in the tropics. Ive also installed koi adjustable rear shocks, added an extra half leaf to the rear to assist with tramp. It has sort of worked but i have a set of Caltracs to install ASAP. Upgrade my tailshaft to something bigger and tougher. Sorted some boost issues out and is pulling hard as! Off to the track end of oct to test everything again :) Thanks for reading!
