And we have flares and new rims. Handling has gone next level.

Few more pics of the beast.
Suffering some ignition dramas so i'm upgrading to an aftermarket rb trigger setup. Have some new coilovers with koni adjustable shock courtesy of nick cross. Now i can run r32 front calipers ;) Have decided with the lack of e85 and no firm commitment from any local stations up here in cairns to supply e85 that i will move forward with a nice water methanol injection setup from Prometh in the states. Had a run at the drags but with the ignition dramas and traction issues in 1st and 2nd i ran a 12.2....My pb with the older setup was 12.1. I will return when its all setup properly and might throw some drag radials on too.

Bit more of an update for those that don't follow elsewhere.
Well since the last post there has been some notable changes once again. -Hi-octane motorsports rb trigger kit was modified to work with the ca18det -New struts and brake setup from supafatto -Rear roll cage in the tray -Methanol Injection setup for more boost -Diff gears reverted to 4.11 from 3.7 -rear handbrake setup modified to actually work properly -new brake lines -tunes x 2. I post trigger kit install, one post meth install. -Harnesses, clubman style After the trigger kit install we got some clean power runs on the dyno and picked up 30hp without any changes to the tune. Amazing how much difference a clean trigger signal can improve everything. The car then ran an 11.6 at the drag strip on toyo proxes r888r with a 2.4 sec 60ft and top mph of 125. Methanol injection with a twin nozzle post intercooler setup gained me another 60hp with a light spray and allowing me to increase boost an extra 7psi safely to 28psi. Timing was not touched and there is def more to explore with this setup but in its current state if the system was to fail it will not blow my engine up. The cooling benefits are unreal. On wot im seeing sub zero temps on the air inlet temp sensor which is positioned behind the throttle plate. I cannot recommend a simple meth kit enough even just for cooling and cylinder head cleaning purposes even without a tune for it. Safety had been playing on my mind and after seeing some images of a fellow owners accident i decided to put a half cage in the rear. Although not full proof it is still legal in qld and adds a layer of safety that was not there before. The goal now is to compete in the sprints and hill climbs in townsville...driving to the event and back. Ill post up some more pics soon.

Forgot to mention i plumbed the screamer pipe back in for less hassle from the police. Also threw in a complete new exhaust system with blast pipes for extra jdm points.

Well, its been a while between posts!!
I've been focused on other projects such as my gen 1 rx7 and the 700hp tow rig falcon ute. Ive also been busy navigating in an evo 9 rs for targa and lots of other fun motorsport events. After completing the last stage i have purely been enjoying it both on the street and the track. Have racked up about 15k kms on this engine now. Went back to the dyno and although we set it up for flex fuel im running E85 full time now. Sitting on 34psi and around 525hp at rear wheels. Had to beef up the fuel maps to walbro 023 x 2 (intake o44 basically) that are staged with boost. I reduced the meth nozzle sizes and now run this as an added insurance in the upper boost levels. Still is great for cooling the air temps if nothing else. Alternator has been upgraded to a nissan quest van 130amp unit with a custom bracket i had made as the old 80mp wasn't keeping up. The engine looks a little different with a new colour scheme for this year too. I added a side pipe that exit through the sill on the passenger side. Its bad ass and shoot flames...ill get some pics shortly Hope you're all still chipping away at your projects! This year is just about enjoying the build and driving the balls off it in as many events as i can.

Pics of the side exit, engine bay and new haltech elite 2500 that is running the show...
I should add.....the old 6boost manifold cracked at the merge collector. A new custom manifold was made and the wastegate welded to the turbine housing for better boost control and also serviceability. The whole hot side is new and custom. My Growley cas bracket snapped so i went back to the oem timing cover. Thought id try a new style for the year with some spare covers i had laying around. Im looking at re-wiring with solid state relays and quick connect plug on the firewall. You can view topic.
