ca18det overheating issues

suprise suprise my ca18det keep overheating. I have recently replaced my head gasket after bursting a heater hose and overheating the car. I didn't want to go through that again so I replaced just about everything in the cooling system. it stays stable at about mid point on the temp gauge then after roughly 10 mins it rises up fairly quickly.
All new parts in the system include: Waterpump thermostat heater hoses radiator (big chinese one) twin thermo fans (chinese ones) ran a hose through the heater with hoses off and it isn't blocked. I bled the system with the heater on full on a steep slope and plenty of air seemed to bubble out. radiator and overflow tank are full. what now????!!! help please, this car is driving me nuts

Hard to say could be a blockage in a coolant galley or sometime corroded in head etc.
could be needs another burp of the coolant system due to more bubbles on there. Are fans pushing it pulling correct direction?

ok, can i check a blockage by running a hose through the engine?
i bled the system twice. fans sit on engine side and pull air thru radiator towards engine.

Just check with a peice of paper that fan is pulling air through
Back flushing may help but sounds Strange. What's the oil, like in colors and what's level on the dip stuck

the oil level was a little higher than it should have been and the breathers spat a fair bit out but itt's all good now. first lot of oil i ran through after the gasket change was very milky but put in a new lot and it's good gold now.

It sounds like thermostat isn't opening. Sometimes even new ones will fail. Stick it in a pot of boiling water to check its not jaming. Also check the sides for scrape marks. U could also put the old one back see if that works better.
I doubt ur cap would be cause unless its loosing all the water under pressure.

For the sake of closure in case someone has this problem one day:
I checked the thermostat in boiling water, it opened fine. The fans were running in the wrong direction and it was just a case of swapping positive and negative. It was impossible to tell by hand which was it was blowing, but a piece of paper made it obvious. Thanks for the help

Did you have a stocko silvia radiator before, many of the Chinese alloy ones suck once the heatsoak has set in.
Check your timing is not retarded, it heats everything up real quick starting with the exhaust. Try getting a sealed type overflow bottle aswell to keep pressure in the system and make sure it is mounted higher then the radiator. Failing that you can look like a tool by removing your rear bonnet rubber and mounting the rear of the bonnet higher to increase air pull though in the engine bay. You can view topic.
