Under the socket you find find the valve keepers. Remove those and it will all come apart.

Yes the head is off the motor.Ok i have used a g clamp with a socket it has compressed the valve spring but still wont release,what do i do next?

Is the cylinder head off the engine?

See Remove Valve Springs, which is for the A-series but might give you some ideas.

Hi guys i would like to know if anyone has any tips on how to remove the valves as i dont have the valve removal tools.Tried g clamp,didnt work,tried socket with hammer and block off wood,didnt work,any tips,much appreciated.
