what width are you going for? 3-4" of dish is quite a wide rim, that would be an 8j.
rims of that size are still reasonable to perchance from Japan off yahoo auctions.

as someone whos been thru the rim widening game before it goes something along these lines.

purchase narrow rims... say 300 set.
purchase new rim outers - 150 a rim.
get your rims split (SSR mesh are all welded down the centre) - 10 each
get the spigot of the barrel machined to suit the SSR centre - 10 each

then if you get them welded back together, need to be polished etc... extra money there

min spend is around 1k. unless you are or have a mate who is a machinist.

These are volk mesh 13x7&8j - these could cost you as little as 800 into aus.

you can buy barrel halves from US, Japan and Europe.
I looked into it when I thought about widening my steelies,
Ended up getting a guy to do it.
If you can find a reputable wheel widener, he should have links to getting you new barrels for them.

13s are hard to find here, as people want 14s or 15s.

But they did make them, they even made 10" diameter versions.

Here are 6x13 +25, but they are SSR Formula Mesh (2-piece)

Won't hurt a 1200 which has relatively HUGE wheel bearings, lug studs and balljoints, for the weight of the car.

Are they genuine SSR Mesh or something else like Formula Mesh or Southern Ways Mesh?

Alright, I'll get some measurements. Not a frequent driver, once or twice a week (there and back).

Quote:
How hard are 13 inch meshies to find?

Where can I get some wheel bands, halves(what do you call them?

When you flip or reverse the centres is there any big issue with having the valve on the inside, apart from inconvenience of access?

depends how wide and what offset, damage is probs just earlier than normal like wheel bearings may need replacing at 20k instead 25k etc etc.
dont know where you get halves from, factory maybe. but i wouldnt cut and widen the original ssr

I haven't any offset figures but how about around 3-4" dish? I need some halves to make a wider wheel. The rims I have are welded. So offset is high negative.

Where do people get their wheel halves? Japan I suppose?
